Skoda has almost no presence in the SUV segment and now company plan to enter this segment , with the introduction of four new SUV in five years. For this Skoda Auto bringing a new seven seater SUV Skoda Polar has set to official debut for the end of this year. In some reports are pointing out that Skoda will use either the name “Skoda Polar” or “Skoda Snowman”
The up coming Skoda Polar carrying the body of Yeti, but it will be slightly larger than that as the SUV is believed to have enough room for an extra two seat in the back side. This is the Skoda’s first ever SUV and will based on MQB B platform while the overall length is expected to stand at around 4.6 meters.
The new Skoda Polar or Skoda Snowman for their seven-seat SUV which will have a FWD layout on the laser version, but in expensive variant with stronger engines are getting an all-wheel drive system. The design is expected to be influnced by Skoda’s all-new Superb which is in fact an evolution to production from the Vision C concept from 2014.
Under the hood the Skoda Polar or Skoda Snowman, contributing especially the new light weight 3-cylinder petrol engine with a capacity of one-litre which gives 95 and 100hp. In 1.4-litre diesel engine with 75,90 and 105hp are planned. As well as the optional all-wheel drive system.
The latest SUV from Skoda will likely be one of the most spacious model in its class and is expected offer generous in its towing capacity as well as real off-road capabilities. It will built in Company’s Czech Republic factory at the Kvasiny and should available in the first half of 2016, with a price ranging from will below EUR 20,000 (Roughly Rs.14,73,300/-).
