The Tata Motors owned British Luxury car maker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has entered the SUV segment with its F-Pace SUV launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show, has been dubbed Ultimate Practical Sports Car, which show the spirit of the iconic British Luxury car brand with modern technology. The jaguar F=Pace made its entry at the show with spectacular ‘Guinness Book of Records’ breaking drive a 19.1-meter high loop driven in a daring stunt by racing driver Terry Grant.
The jaguar F-pace is company’s third product to be built on Jaguar’s lightweight Aluminium Architecture after jaguar XE and the new XF. Based on the C-X17 conept, the Jaguar F-Pace also get F-Type inspired design features such as the powerful rear hounches , fender vents and distinctive tail light graphics. The jaguar F-Pace can seat five people in absolute comfort with generous head and knee room, while the luggage compartment is enough space for everyone luggages.
The Power train range of the Jaguar F-pace include a 4-cylinder 2.0-litre diesel Ingebium engine making 178bhp and 430Nm. There is a 3.0 litre V6 super charged engine from the F-Type there is also even more powerful F-Pace SVR variant that could source power from the 5.0 litre V8 super charged variant with an out put of 550hp.
Transmission options include a 6-speed manual for the base 2.0 litre diesel engine while the rest are equipped with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. The F-pace will most likely featured AWD for all markets, making use of Jaguar latest Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD).
“the cars will be produced at JLR’s 500-million pounds Solihull factory in the UK using new architecture which more aluminium based, giving it a revolutionary light weight appeal. We have expanded our foot print in new markets like China and India. But our heart and soul will always remain in UK”. The JLR CEO Ralf Speth said at a launching event up to the motor show.
jaguar believe the F-Pace is going to attract 90% of the first time Jaguar buyers. International pricing will start from UK Pounds 34,170 in the UK (Roughly around Rs. Lakh) and in US $40,990. Which the company claims is fabulous value for a game changing products, which will redefine the segment.
The jaguar F-Pace SUV is expected to hit the roads in Europe and the US in phased roll-out by early next year, with an Indian launch expected in the latter half of 2016. There is growing crossover segment in India to which this car will most certain appeal.
