The New York city based Auto-maker Cadillac released its upcoming Premium Crossover Cadillac XT5 images officially. The latest XT5 Crossover comes as a replacement of Cadillac SRX which is company’s best selling car worldwide, but its petty old, having launched in 2009. The current Cadillac XT5 will reinforce all of the good things about the SRX while finally bringing that product up to date. The latest premium crossover XT5 might be unveiled at this year in the month of November 10 2015 at Dubai Motor Show. The vehicle will that be shown at the Los-Angles Auto Show one week later.
The new 2017 Cadillac XT5 will be built at General Motors Cimpany’s Spring Hill plant in Tennessee and it is based on new modular design code name C1XX. This is the high-ridding version of the E2XX platform that debut in the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu and is destined to replace GM’s current Theta and Lamba design.
The company did not release its detailed specification and interior design images, but we think about its engine range will be 3.6L V-6 is standard engine for any mid-size crossover. The 2017 Cadillac XT5 direct predecessor SRX, still features the same engine, but the fresh model XT5 required a refreshed power train and expect slightly updated version of V-6 which should generate more power than 308hp and 265lb-ft of torque which is currently delivers in Cadillac SRX.
Further, more smaller 2.7 litter turbo charged V-6 might also find its way to the line-up as an option. Both front and all wheels drive will be offered with 6-speed automatic transmission should be fitted with it.
For pricing it should start from around $38,000 for entry-level models which are rather bare boned compare to luxury line-up. Top premium grades however mandate a pricing tag of at least $50,000
Tje 2017 Cadillac XT5 should refresh, outdated SRX and become one of the first models to reflect General Motors Luxury brand’s new naming strategy. It is supposed to be a true luxury mid-size crossover with both of its feet on the ground.
