Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Hybrid will be launch post Independence day weekend. Although the actual date not known, but most probably expected to happen within a week of August 15 2015.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Hybrid, replace the current diesel version and will most likely could be sold exclusively through the company’s premium showroom NEXA.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Hybrid continue to use the 1.3-litre DDiS Multi jet diesel engine but now coupled with SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) technology. it uses a Lithium-ion battery which gets charged with the help of regenerative braking. This system will provide extra torque to the engine and will also power a idle start stop features. As a result new Ciaz Hybrid is expected to deliver a better fuel economy of 28-30 kmpl.
The SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) technology was showcased by Maruti at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, explaining how the lithium-ion batteries are charged by regenerative braking and how that are change provide the extra torque.
Apart from mechanical addition some cosmetics and safety features are also included in this variant of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Hybrid. The Ciaz Hybrid is getting a new V(O) variant with safety pack. this safety packs included ABS(Anti-locking Brake System) and EBD(Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), driver and passenger air-bags. These features will be part of standard equipment on all variants of the car from the V(O) to the Z+.
The upcoming model, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Hybrid is likely to completely replace the current diesel variant, could command a premium of as much as Rs.40,000 over the regular models. Which means it probably comes around Rs.9,00,000.
The new Hybrid car by Maruti Suzuki only replace diesel variant, their is no information regarding its petrol variant of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
