The new 2015 Mini Countryman launched in India on Wednesday. It is available at MINI dealerships across India at an ex-showroom price of INR 3,650,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India said, “The new MINI Countryman has pursued its path to the success both on and off road. Selective design modifications for the exterior and interior along with innovative equipment features contribute to increased appeal of the new MINI Countryman.”
Powering the new Mini Countryman is a 112PS/270Nm four-cylinder turbo diesel engine that makes 112PS and 270Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed Steptronic transmission and BMW claims that the car will do 0-100kmph in just 11.3 seconds with a top speed of 185kmph. A fuel efficiency claim of 23.80 kmpl is claimed by Mini for the new Countryman diesel.
The 2015 Mini Countryman gets a new front grille, new alloy wheels and LED daytime running and fog lights. The compact crossover is now available in three new body colours – Jungle Green Metallic, Starlight Blue Metallic and Midnight Grey Metallic. The car will now fall under the Completely Built Unit (CBU) category after being assembled in India from April 2013.
Most of the interior remains unchanged, apart from the new infotainment system and the new black dials. The switches and vents also feature touches of chrome while everything else remains the same.
BMW India offers a range of Mini Cooper D 5 door, Mini Cooper D 3 door, Mini Cooper S 3 door, Mini Cooper Convertible and the all new 2015 Mini Cooper D Countryman. The 2015 Mini Countryman range varies from Rs. 28.5 lakh for the Cooper D(3 Door) and goes all the way up to Rs. 36.5 lakh for the Countryman.
