Infiniti has stolen the hearts of millions and rocked the 2013 Geneva Motor Show after debuting it’s next generation luxury vehicle, the all new 2014 Infiniti Q50 which will go on sale across Europe from autumn 2013 price starts at $37,350(Est.). It’s competitors are new BMW 3-Series and Lexus IS.
The Infiniti Q50 will be available with a choice of diesel or turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine and both diesel and hybrid. The first version is powered by a 2.2-litre direct-injection four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine mated with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic transmission emits low CO2 output (under 115g/k).
While the second version is powered by Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid™ system with Intelligent Dual Clutch Control. It combines a 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy V6 and compact laminated lithium-ion battery design with an innovative one-motor/two-clutch motor control. The system’s V6 is rated at 296 horsepower (est.) and 255 lb-ft of torque (est.), while the advanced 50 kW electric motor is rated at 67 horsepower (est.) and 199 lb-ft of torque (est.). The hybrid system net power is 354 horsepower (est.) mated with a 7-speed automatic transmission as the M35h. It offers you the best fuel consumption on the combined cycle estimated to be 6.2 l/100km (45mpg) and CO2 emissions under 145g/km. It can rocket from 0-100km/h under 5.5 seconds faster than the Infiniti M35h. It will be available in both rear and all-wheel drive forms in Europe.(Press Release)
