Mitsubishi Motors Corp. President, Osamu Masuko said the Outlander Plug-in Hybrid will go on sale in the US starting next Jan. When asked why the long delay, Masuko-san cited US regulations and testing requirements for a first of a kind plug-in SUV as the cause. He added that the new technology will take some time to gain understanding. Mitsubishi is targeting 86,000 North American total sales for the 2013 fiscal year, about a 50% increase.
