Japanese auto maker, Honda Motors has confirmed that it’s new two-motor Accord Hybrid Sedan, the all new 2014 Accord Hybrid will go on sale in USA by the fall of 2013 pricing will be announced close to it’s release date. It’s looks like 2013 Accord sedan but biggest competitors are Chevy Volt, Ford Fusion and Toyota Camry.
Honda to invest $23 million and hire approximately 50 new associates at its Marysville, Ohio auto plant. It’s the first Honda plant in North America to build a hybrid vehicle, and currently produces both the Civic Hybrid and Acura ILX Hybrid models.
The 2014 Accord Hybrid featuring Honda’s first two-motor hybrid system powered by a new Earth Dreams™ Technology 2.0-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine with a powerful 124-kilowatt (KW) traction electric motor that can function as an electric continuously variable transmission (e-CVT) and a 105-KW electric motor for power generation offers you fuel economy ratings of 49/45/47 mpg (city/hwy/combined).
It also combines innovative features like Honda LaneWatch™, Forward Collision Warning (FCW)[4], Lane Departure Warning (LDW)[5], Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
