New BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe Lunched in Indian Market Priced at Rs 86.4 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi)

To rule the luxury car market  and  to take on Audi and Mercedes,  BMW has  launched the all-new 6 Series Gran Coupe, the first four door coupe  in India on Thursday priced at Rs 86.4 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). It will lock horn other luxury cars like Mercedes-Benz CLS, Porsche Panamera and the Audi A7. This is not only BMW for India but  the next generation X1 will hit in Indian market by January  2013, 7 series In March 2013 and premium compact hatchback ‘1 series’ by the end of 2013.

 New 6 Series Gran Coupe comes both diesel and  petrol engine option. The Diesel model comes in one engine option as 640d  which  is powered by a  3-litre, in-line six diesel engine producing peak power of 313 bhp at 4,400 rpm and maximum torque of 630 Nm being delivered in the range of 1,500 to 2,500 rpm. It can rocket from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds.

While the petrol model comes in two engine option as 640i and the 650i. The 640i is powered by a 3-litre, inline six petrol engine churns out peak power of 320 bhp  peak torque of 450 Nm. The 650i’s 4.4-litre V8 producing peak power of 450 bhp and peak torque of 650 Nm.
