2014 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will go on sale in Japan and Europe by early 2013, Fuel Efficiency 143.5 mpg

Mitsubishi has rocked the 2012 Paris Auto show and given sleepless nights to it’s rivals after debuting, the world’s first production plug-in hybrid SUV, 2014 Outlander PHEV,  which will hit  Japanese market  by  early 2013   and European market by February 2013  next  Australia, and other markets.

The new 2014 Outlander PHEV is powered by a next generation  2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine  paired with two 60-kWh electric motors  all-electric range up to 55 kilometers(34 miles) for a total range of 547 miles combined fuel efficiency of 143.5 mpg. The charging time is only 30 minutes. It also offers you three Automatic Selection of Three Drive Modes for Optimal Efficiency as EV Drive Mode, Series Hybrid Mode and Parallel Hybrid Mode.

It also combines Twin Motor 4WD system comprising independent electric motors to drive the front and rear wheels  integrated with the brand’s S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control).
