Korean Auto maker Hyundai rocked the 2012 New York Auto Show after unveiling it’s much awaited SUV, all- new 2013 Hyundai Santa-fe in two wheelbase versions which also known as Hyundai ix45 . The Santa-Fe Sport version offers you a two row five person seating space while the long wheel base(LWB) version offers you three-raw seven passengers seating space.
New Santa-fe Sport will hit the showroom by late Summer 2012 but extended-wheelbase 7-passenger Santa Fe will be available in early 2013. New Santa-fe will expected to be priced between $25,000-$28,500(est) in USA (In India Rs 23 lakhs to Rs 26 lakhs). It looks like the sixth-generation Sonata but biggest competitor of Chevrolet Equinox, Toyota RAV4, and Nissan Rogue.
The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport comes in AWD(All Wheel Drive) and FWD(Front-wheel drive) but powered by a 2.4-liter Gasoline Direct DOHC 16-valve, 4-cylinder Engine (GDI) churns out peak power of 190 @ 6300 and maximum torque 181 @ 4250 mated with mated with a six-speed automatic transmission with Shiftronic manual control and promising you EPA rated fuel economy of 23 / 33 / 26 city/highway/combine comes with 17-inch wheels.
while a 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve, 4-cylinder, turbocharged GDI capable of producing peak power of 264 @ 6000 and maximum torque of 269 @ 1750-3000 comes with 19-inch wheels mated with a six-speed automatic transmission with Shiftronic manual control promising you fuel economy of 22 / 31 / 25 city/highway/combined.
The new Santa Fe will be the first non-luxury CUV to get Torque Vectoring Cornering Control (TVCC) and Driver Selectable Steering Mode (DSSM) for better handling and feel behind the wheel.
