BMW i8 Concept Spyder Convertible plug-in hybrid Debuted at 2012 New York Auto Show

German automobile manufacturer has set the 2012 New York Auto Show on fire after unveiling it’s innovation next generation  BMW i8 Concept Spyder is a convertible with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. This roofless, two-seat hybrid concept can offers you 100mpg and having a power to rocket from from 0-62mph in 5.0 seconds  with the top speed of  155mph and going to hit the show room by 2014.

This super car is based on Vision EffecientDynamics supercar of 2009 which  includes a pair of electric scooters housed under a transparent tailgate, a camera-based proactive collision warning feature, and the interior can be pre-warmed on a cold morning so it’s all toasty and warm when you go to drive it.

It is powered by a next generation a lithium-ion battery which takes less than 2 hours for complete charge and can go 19 miles in EV power.
