Volvo has stolen the show after unveiling the all-electric XC60 Plug-in Hybrid Concept at 2012 Detroit Show. The XC60 Plug-in Hybrid  is a affordable car promising you  high performance with styling. It’s coming to take on  Lexus RX400h in world market.

XC60 Plug-in Hybrid is powered by a new 280bhp, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine matted with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Volvo plans to have this petrol plug-in hybrid system on sale within two years. How ever no confirmation of pricing and release date.

“The hybrid system has the petrol engine driving the front wheels and a 70bhp electric motor powering the rears. The 12kWh lithium-ion battery pack gives a 35-mile electric-only range, with a total petrol and electric range of 600 miles. Recharging time on a 220-volt household supply is 3.5 hours and with a combined system power output of 350bhp, the XC60 can rocket  from 0-60mph in 5.8sec with a 130mph top speed and an estimated 83mpg using battery and petrol power, or half that when the battery is exhausted.’ According to The Telegraph.
