Maruti Suzuki XA Alpha SUV Price in India, Preview, Release date and Specifications

Maruti Suzuki has rocked the 2012 Auto Expo Show after unveiling it’s two world class vehicle as Ertiga MPV and XA Alpha SUV. Since these twins launch both this product become the most searchable car in India. I have already told about told about Maruti Ertiga. Now it’s a turn for  Maruti XA Alpha SUV.

 Unveiling the Concept XAα, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki, Mr. Shinzo Nakanishi said: “India is set to become one of the top automobile markets of the world. This may become evident as early as the next Delhi Auto Expo. Maruti Suzuki will lead India’s automobile growth and evolution by strengthening its compact car portfolio, entering new segments and creating new product categories across fuel options”.

He added: “The Concept XAα is designed for a market of customers with a young urban lifestyle. This Concept showcases the unified R&D efforts of Suzuki and Maruti which will be a big asset for us in India in the future”.

XAα combines ruggedness and ‘muscle’ – the traditional attributes of a Sports Utility Vehicle – with elegance, a certain finesse and compactness. (Designers’ detailed note below)

In XAα, the ‘Alpha’ represents trendiness and newness that the youth connect to. The ‘A’ signifies that this compact, 4 metre long concept, is designed for customers wishing to enter the utility vehicle segment. The ‘X’ denotes Cross-over category.” according to Maruti.

Maruti XA Alpha  is small SUV expected to be powered by a K-Series Diesel engine offers you five person seating space and come in 4 x 2 and All wheel drive (AWD) variants and Wheelbase: 2500 mm, Length: 4000 mm, Width: 1900 mm and Height: 1600 mm. It is expected to hit the road by 2013 in price tag around 10 Lakh in India. It will take on the other SUV like M&M XUV 500 and Honda CR-V.
