If anybody ask you the name of world’s cheapest car than answer always comes Tata Nano but now time is changed and the biggest competitor of Nano is born because Bajaj unveiled the small car RE60 in a price around Rs 125,000 to Rs 200,000.
“Bajaj Auto on Tuesday unveiled a mini four wheeler for intra-city urban transportation targetting three wheeler customers.
The company, which had in 2008 showcased a concept small car but decided not to go ahead with the project, will launch the new product named RE60 later this year.
“Certainly, this is a product, the core customer for which are those who use a three wheeler,” Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj told reporters here” According to TOI.
The Bajaj RE60, powered by a 200 cc petrol engine promising you fuel economy 35 KML with a top speed of 70 kmph.
Bajaj has beautifully crafted this ULC (Ultra Law Cost) car with Renault-Nissan alliance. In 2008, JanuaryBajaj Auto Ltd had unveiled its concept passenger car with an expected price of USD 3000 but Renault-Nissan wants to sell this ULC in a expected price around $2500. This ULC was initially scheduled to hit the Indian market in 2011 but delayed due to the conflict between the partners for pricing and design.
At last I would like to say that new Bajaj RE60 small car is coming to fulfill the dreams of common men and to take on Tata Nano in world market. What you think? Please be open to give your view.
