Toyota Motors has launched the fourth member of the Prius family at 2012 Detroit Auto Show and named it 2013 Prius C hybrid hatchback which coming this Spring 2012, promising 50-mpg combined fuel economy and a starting price of about $19,000.
Upcoming 2013 Prius C will comes in four trim levels and quite a bit shorter (19 inches), weight more than 500 pounds but less than existing Prius but offers you 17.1 cubic feet of cargo volume.
The 2013 Prius C hybrid hatchback powered by a 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle gasoline engine in combination with a 45-kilowatt (60-horsepower) electric motor generator. Maximum power output is 99 horsepower. It also promising you EPA estimated fuel economy of 53-mpg city and 46 mpg Highway resulting combined 50 mpg.
